If you're applying for the certificate online, it costs AED 50 and an additional AED 13 delivery fee to get the certificate delivered to your address.

How to apply for a clearance certificate if you're no longer a UAE resident

To apply for a clearance certificate as a former UAE resident, you will need the following:

  • 2 recent passport-sized photos.
  • Passport copy.
  • You must explain the reason why you're applying.

You will also need to get a fingerprint card from the country you're currently living in, and it must be attested by a UAE Embassy in that country.

What is a fingerprint card?

A fingerprint card is an official report from the police department of your current country of residence. The card confirms your identity based on your biometrics and decimal fingerprint.
