Dubai just saw the wildest 'petcation'!

The UAE is home to several pet-friendly hotels and resorts, so guests can relax, unwind, and enjoy without missing the company of their furry friend.

But one resident recently took a Dubai hotel's pet-friendly policy to a whole new level.

Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown welcomed an expected guest on April Fool's Day this year when a man checked in with his beloved pet camel, surprising and amusing the staff and fellow guests.

The hotel's team extended their hospitality to both the guest and his four-legged companion, even offering it the same service and comfort that regular patrons receive to make them feel right at home.

"We understand that pets are part of the family, and leaving them behind can often be a concern for travelers," said Laura Eggleton, General Manager of the hotel.

"With our pet-friendly approach, guests can rest assured that their furry loved ones will receive the same level of care and attention as they do," she added.

At some hotels such as the Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown, pets stay for free, allowing owners to let their animal companions tag along with little to zero cost.
