Good news to Dubai motorists who were on the roads on April 16...

Dubai Police will be waiving all traffic fines incurred by motorists on Tuesday April 16, 2024.

So rest assured if you violated a traffic rule amidst the UAE's heaviest rainfall and flooding last week, you don't need to pay the fine.

The decision to completely waive all traffic fines reflects the Dubai Police's commitment to our local community and to ensure the public's safety, especially during some of the most difficult weather conditions the UAE has faced in decades.

Adverse weather conditions impacted the UAE last week, with heavy rains lashing the emirates - causing floods, road closures, damage to homes and properties, and green-tinged sewage waters affecting some parts of the country and its residents.

Some families and individuals have reportedly fallen ill due to contamination in their homes' water supplies, with patients experiencing symptoms such as vomiting, high fever, and diarrhea.

Residents are urged by government officials and health experts to avoid touching, stepping in, or swimming through leftover rain water.
