Sharjah allows all nationalities full real estate ownership from November 2022

Previously, full real estate ownership rights were only allowed for UAE nationals and GCC citizens.

If you're a foreign expat interested in owning real estate in Sharjah, there has been new changes on the emirate's laws about real estate.

The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has issued a new decision, allowing full ownership with no time restrictions in real estate projects to all nationalities.

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued Law No. (2) of 2022 on the amendment of Law No. (5) of 2010 on real estate registration in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Before the new decree, full real estate ownership rights were exclusive to Emiratis and GCC citizens. Now, citizens of any country are able to own real estate in Sharjah.
