Planning ahead for your child's school year? Read this...
We understand if students in the UAE are also sick of 2020. When schools were suspended in March as a precautionary measure against the Covid-19 pandemic, it may seem as though staying at home with distance learning would practically count as a semi-vacation.
It’s all too easy for adults to get caught up in the stress of the situation, but it's not just the adults who are fighting to keep up. Kids have also been affected by some of the drastic changes, not to mention how the virus zapped the fun out of a lot of things.
You're going to want to help your child get the most out of their school holidays for the academic year 2020/2021. These are the school holiday dates to keep in mind:
School holidays for the academic year 2020/2021
December 2020
Let’s start off with the December holiday period. Students can expect three weeks of winter vacation, starting from Sunday, December 13 to Saturday, December 31.
This applies to all private and public schools in the UAE, regardless of the curriculum followed.
March 2021
School students with a foreign curriculum can enjoy a two-week long spring vacation from Sunday, March 28 to Thursday, April 8.
The same also applies to schools in the UAE that follow the Ministry of Education's curriculum.
The academic year is expected to end on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 for all UAE schools regardless of curriculum.
