The FREE Career Oriented Book Every UAE Student Should Read

The career handbook for students that will get them ahead of work

When it comes to preparing for your career, you can never start too early, but if we don’t know what the jobs of the future will look like, it feels almost impossible to know what our place will be in the workplace – let alone know what it takes to be successful in the UAE and beyond.

So how can students make good decisions for their future? Or grasp the skills and behaviours which will not just be needed, but expected from them at work? It can be overwhelming – but it doesn’t have to be.

The Possibilities Project is the ultimate handbook that’s here to help you on your journey of self-discovery, independence and career success. Drawing on the experiences of some of the brightest minds in the UAE and around the world, this is your one-stop-shop for career-readiness and wellbeing.

The best part is that the book will be an entirely FREE resource for students, available in print and e-book.

It’s been created to help them better understand the skills and behaviours needed to get ahead at work – particularly in recognition of the fact that there isn’t a big culture of work experience/part-time jobs in the UAE, so often they're starting in a professional environment with very limited experience.

Seventeen contributors, from the UAE and beyond, share their experiences, insights and practical advice to help young people navigate change, make decisions and prepare to embark on their career journey. The book comprises many different perspectives and addresses topics including...

  • Communication
  • Presentation skills
  • Online safety
  • Recruitment
  • Networking
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Resilience
  • Navigating change
  • Dealing with adversity in the workplace and industry

The contributors range from business leaders, entrepreneurs, and journalists, to communications specialists, philanthropists, and visionaries. We’re very excited that they include HE Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Ziauddin Yousafzai, the Malala Fund.
