Dubai hit third place among the best cities to work in.

Dubai has been ranked has one of the best cities in the world to work in for 2024, according to a new report by Boston Consulting Group.

Rated as the third best among global cities, Dubai is one of the only two cities in the Middle East that made in the top 10, with the other being the UAE's capital of Abu Dhabi at fourth place.

Number one on the list and undefeated since 2014 is London, followed by Amsterdam.

Why was Dubai so highly-rated?

According to the report, these cities stand out as they offer some highly sought-after qualities: "Financial and economic" opportunities, "Career progression", and "Better overall quality of life". The bustling city of Dubai can offer all of these and more.

Cities with a strong English language environment are also one of the top things professionals look for when choosing a country to work in, along with the country's culture, salary packages, and whether it'll be a smooth relocation process.

Dubai itself offers a fast work visa processing turn-around time. For foreign expatriates being brought into Dubai for work, the process has dropped from 30 days to only five. Previously, the number of documents required was around 16, and has since been slashed to five.
