It will also be home to a 7-star hotel.

Watch out, Dubai residents! A new landmark is set to open in the emirate and change the skyline as we know it to become the city's second tallest tower: the Burj Azizi.

The US$1.5 billion architectural project will be located opposite of World Trade Centre along Sheikh Zayed Road, with the mega marvel scheduled for completion by 2028.

The Burj Azizi will be home to a vertical shopping mall, a 7-star hotel, an observation deck, high-end restaurants, and even luxury residences.

No confirmation yet on just how tall is the Burj Azizi, but as it'll be Dubai's second tallest tower right after the Burj Khalifa, we can expect no less than an impressive height.

A formal ceremony is expected soon, according to Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments.

Azizi Developments also revealed more details about the upcoming project via their Instagram page.

"Unveiling our vertical realm of luxury: a staggering $1.5 billion skyscraper, towering as the second tallest marvel," the caption reads.

It continued: "Set to grace the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower will feature a vertical mall that soars skyward, opulent residences, a lavish 7-star hotel, a unique observation deck, and upscale dining options, all promising an experience beyond extraordinary."

"This tower will be our legacy. With Dubai having given my family and I so much - safety and abundance of opportunities - this tower, which will be the second tallest, is our way of giving back to this emirate and its remarkably hospitable and welcoming people," said Mirwais Azizi on an Arabian Business article.
