Caught a traffic fine in Abu Dhabi?

Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) announced that motorists who received a traffic fine in the capital will be able to pay it off in interest-free installments, as of January 2024.

Here's what you need to know!

How much is the minimum fine value to be eligible?

Abu Dhabi drivers whose traffic fines have a minimum collective value of AED 3,000 may be eligible to settle their fines in monthly payments.

Which credit card holders are eligible for the installments?

In addition to the minimum fine value of AED 3,000, the driver must have a credit card from any of the following UAE banks:

  • First Abu Dhabi Bank
  • Emirates Islamic Bank
  • Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank
  • Interest-free installments are available in three, six, nine, or twelve-month plans.

    How to pay Abu Dhabi traffic fines in installments

    Abu Dhabi motorists can avail the new service at any of the below locations, by paying their fines via credit card and scheduling the payments in installment plans:

    • Any UAE Customer Happiness Centre
    • Abu Dhabi's TAMM service centres

    "ITC has launched its ‘facilitated payment’ service in order to raise the convenience level of services for customers," reads ITC's official post on X (formerly Twitter).

    The tweet continues: "This initiative enables customers to carry out easier payment options and provides facilities that meet their aspirations."
