Qatar Re-Opens Selected Malls Across the Country

Good news to all Qatar residents...

As they enter the first phase towards lifting COVID-19 restrictions, Qatar have announced the list of malls that are set to open their doors on June 15th, 2020. This act contributes towards the first of four phases, spanning over four months in an effort to gradually lift restrictions across all sectors.

Only selected malls will reopen across the country at 30% capacity, with strict safety rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Commerce.

Shoppers are requested to continue their health and safety precautions upon entry, which include:

  • Temperature checks
  • Wearing a mask at all times
  • Social distancing
  • Showing a green health status on the EHTERAZ app

List of malls due to open June 15th

These are the shopping malls set to re-open from Monday:

  • Mall of Qatar
  • Doha Festival City
  • Mirqab Mall
  • Gulf Mall
  • Ezdan Mall

At the time of publishing, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported 1,828 new COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 78,416.
