You Can Get Your COVID-19 Test Results By WhatsApp In Bahrain

Bahrain has become the first country to provide COVID-19 test results conveniently and safely through WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

Launched by Bahrain's Ministry of Health, the results service will be available in English and Arabic and includes a chatbot service that delivers up-to-date information on the spread of the virus in the kingdom.

The FREE chat service has been built using the WhatsApp Business API and Infobip's global communication platform to provide important information to residents.

It provides direct links to relevant and expert YouTube guidance videos, as well as the country's official COVID-19 Be Aware app.

The Kingdom, which is currently fifth in the world for testing rates, launched a dedicated tracking smartphone app "BeAware" to keep track and monitor confirmed cases.

It has now been reported that quarter of the country has downloaded the app, which automatically alerts users if they come into contact with active cases.

Bahrain health officials reported 534 new COVID-19 cases and 411 recoveries.

Among the new cases, 326 were expats.
