Dr Heck at Lipoclinic is very good
Hello Did you have surgery with Dr Heck in Dubai? Did your insurance cover? I need 3 surgeries! Also does anyone know if there’s a support group here in Dubai? Thank you!

Hi I went this morning and he wouldn't do them. He said if he did because of where my cheek muscles are and the fact I have only one herniated fat pocket ( didn't really understand till he drew them for me) then he said it will Puff the under eye area out which is what a filler does and they will look worse. I'm going to have a course of radio frequency which is cheaper and he showed me the before and after pictures of that and the results are very good. I like that he is honest and won't do procedures for the sake of it. I had some Botox as I hadn't had it done for over a year and some juvyderm beside my nose and my skin looks better already. I didn't like the idea it could go lumpy under the eye and he said it tends to go that way after 4-5 days. Hope this helps Hi Sarahlou123 Have you started the RF treatments yet? Would love to hear about your experience/results. I have made an appointment with dr Rezai to discuss tear troughs. Don't know what he will suggest for me :-) RF sounds better to me than needles - but I will go with whatever is most suitable for my case. Have a great day!

It's comforting to know that he is honest and not pushing something that might have a bad outcome. I will make an appointment with him soon. I don't have any fat pockets, just hollows so it might be suitable for me. Will check out the radio frequency too. Have a great day:)

Good evening, It has been recommended for my son to have FESS sinus surgery to relieve chronic sinusitis. I would really like a second opinion on this diagnosis. I've tried booking Dr. Mahmoud Bahgat but he is on leave until June 5th. Anyone had a similar surgery done here in UAE who would like to share their experience? Thank you.

Good morning, I am looking for giant puzzles of 3000-5000 pieces. Anybody seen any around town? Have a great day! I saw a 30,000 one or something like that at Kinokuniya in Dubai Mall ... I don't think I could manage a 30,000 piece one. Last I checked KINOKUNIYA I couldn't find any puzzles. But I guess I will have a look again. Thanks sheikhandbake!

HI looking for recommendations for a good tested and tried specialist that can offer offer and administer age specific skin related treatments ie Botoxs, fillers etc Just had filers with Dr Fiona at dr nicolas on marina walk...love, love the results and she is very good. I had the restylene lite in many area to lift my face and I feel so good after having it and she wasnt too expensive either Did you do restylane in your tear troughs too? And do you mind telling how much you paid? Dr rezai is doing mine at the end of the month it is 1500 for 0.5ml or 2200 for 1ml which most people need. Unfortunately DR Khan who I normally use charges 3200 Will this be your first time to try the tear troughs? If you had it done before with Dr. Rezai could you kindly give me some feedback. It is my first time yes. I need to have a long chat with him first as I have read reports that it can be a little lumpy on certain patients and I don't want that. He is a superb surgeon whom I have used before. I shall let you know how I get on Thank you! I hope you get an excellent result. I really want to try this procedure but am a little nervous of the outcome. Look forward to hearing your feedback.

Try Norma's at Le Parker Meridien for breakfast. It's one of the best breakfasts in New York. At the same hotel you will find Burger Joint (behind the red curtain). Fun little place where a burger will set you back 8 dollars. Frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity is another "must do" in New York. If you wander around Soho or Nolita you will find so many cute little cafes and restaturants. Really a favorite area of mine in NYC. If you want to see the Statue of Liberty you should book online well in advance. There's a tour that will take you to the statue and Ellis Island. You can choose if you want to see the statue from the grounds or you want to go up. But you need to decide in advance. Enjoy your trip!

Oh, for some reason I was thinking you were new to Dubai and trying to figure out where to fil your scrip from home. (doh) It is not controlled, is it? Is there a possibility you could order it online with your scrip? :-) I was looking online but am weary of ordering as there seems to be a lot of fakes floating around. Can't seem to find a legit website that will ship to UAE and accept a script from here. Aarghh!

Thank you both. I do have a prescription for the T3 and have never bought it over the counter. My doctors office here has always been able to supply it however they have not been able to obtain any lately. I was advised to go to Dubai Hospital Pharmacy (which overlooks all pharmacies here) and they also don't have stock... I won't be able to get it from my home country without a doctor there prescribing it and I am not in the health care system there as long time resident in Dubai.

I have used Loving My Bag and I didn't have the most positive experience, they ruined pair of my shoes and whilst they weren't totally to blame, I was very disappointed that they didn't tell me that they were going to paint my shoes when they restored them. And a handbag I had cleaned with them came back ok, but not fantastic. I have recently used The Cobbler at DIFC to resole a pair of my shoes and they came back amazing. They cleaned them inside and out and where I chipped the heel it has been repaired so much so that you can't really see it. I am so happy with their service that I have dropped off two more pairs for repair and to be resoled. The staff I have dealt with were fantastic, knowledgeable, polite, professional and helpful. Thank you for your feedback. I will definitely go to the cobbler at DIFC for my shoes. I do, however, have a Chanel lambskin bag that needs refreshing and I am at a loss where to take it. Chanel here don't do cleaning...

Was wondering if anyone could recommend someone to put up wallpaper? I did have a number for someone but he is away on vacation until September and wanted to get my DS's room sorted before my next baby arrives in 3 weeks. Thanks in advance, N

I found a small glass bottle of 'Glycerine of Borax' in Marina Pharmacy, I used mine to try to make some cool 'slime' fr children. Also tried to use it to make a natural 'ant' removal remedy but that didn't work, need Borax powder for that. Haven't seen Borax powder anywhere sorry. I am searching for Borax too or it's equivalents as I have decided to take up the fight against those darn little ants in my kitchen. I have tried a few different commercial baits but the ants are not the slightest interested in them.

I am desperate to have my heavy eyelids fixed! And perhaps a bit of fat removal under the eyes. Has anyone here had it done recently? With whom and how much did you pay? Hope someone has some info for me. Thanks! Dr Jaffar Khan and Dr Allen Rezai specialize in this ( Blephorasty) I would always go with a reconstructive surgeon who has trained in the West The cost when I looked was AED12000 ( A few years ago) My friend had it done in Brussels and they pulled the skin/cut excess against the muscle to get rid of the dark shadows I have heard a lot about Dr Jaffar Khan too. Thanks for the price info! Anyone here had their eyelids done with Dr. Jaffar Khan?

As strange as it seems the whole procedure was relaxing. I had local anaesthetia and such is the calm in the theatre I dosed off a few times. There was nothing gruesome going on but when you're eyelid is being cauterised could be a bit of a shock for the merest of seconds. In brief - you can smell the burning. Price wise it wouldn't be fair to comment because mine was done abt 4 years ago. However it was about 11k dirhams in those days. I think it would be good to see Wayne before talking to your husband because until you see him you dont know what procedure you will need done. You can probably pay for a stand alone consultation and that way you're husband cant ask questions you cant answer money wise. Thank you DesertRose1958! I will try to book a consultation with a few different cosmetic surgeons and see how it goes. I want to get rid of that tired look!

Yes. I did. I had a lump on an eyelid that was growing and could only be removed surgically and as a result I had to have an upper eyelid job done....on both eyes to make me look even so to speak. The result really was fantastic and people assumed I had been sleeping well, and nothing else. :D It was a really simple procedure and I was awake throughout. Dr Smith really is excellent at what he does. edited by DesertRose1958 on 30/07/2013 So pleased to hear about your results. May I ask how much you paid? I am looking for a ballpark figure to present to my husband :-)

Thanks Genkigirl. I saw the 2 park pass deal on their website might very well be the way to go. Just figured it might be cheaper saving 50% with a voucher. Does anyone have the Entertainer book and could tell me if there's a voucher? I think there is but I would advise going on line and just buying the two park Pass that includes both parks. We went last holidays and did this. You have 14 days to use both passes and you have the print out from buying online so you don't have to line up (especially at yas water world). I think it was the same or a little bit cheaper to do it this way. Unfortunately buying on line you can use the vouchers I think but I think I'd rather not have to line up in the heat.

I have previously sold some gold items in the souk. It's preferable that you have a receipt to show ownership of the gold. They'll take a copy of your passport/EID and contact details as they have to report the items to CID.

I second myfitnesspal. Downloaded the app for iPhone. Works great! If I were you, I would join myfitnesspal.com, it's a free site. You input your stats and it gives you what calories / exercise you should be doing. You then log the food you eat, (it's really quick and easy) and it's quite an eye opener, helped me LOADS. There is also a forum a bit like EW but will answer just about any query you have and put you on the right track. It's been brilliant for me, very user friendly and the forum is inspirational, there are different sections for food / motivation / success stories which are all very encouraging. Give it a go, you really have nothing to lose since it's free! I think there are a few people on here that use it... Oh, and I've just re-read that and it sounds likt I'm something to do with the site, but I'm NOT, haha, just love it! :D
