Never worn jeans to a brunch, probably because I go out so rarely I enjoy getting dressed up! I have seen all sorts of attire at brunches though and a dress with flat shoes is definitely ok

Full thinckness rotator cuff tear and removal of surplus bone. I was in hospital overnight after the op and then had intense physio to start with which tailed off after about 6 months. It did take me around a year to feel completely confident about it though. If you go and see him he will be totally honest with you. He knew my problem just from shaking my hand. Previously I was being treated with physio for muscular issues and it was her who suggested I go and see him, as things were not improving.

Go and see Dr Kavyan Najoomi, he's a shoulder specialist based at Mediclinic Meadows and Arabian Ranches. He repaired my shoulder cuff amongst other things three years ago.

There's nothing to stop you starting small and then moving on as and when you can afford it. It's taken us three moves to finally become settled. We've also taken out a maintenance contract ourselves purely so we know that is anything goes wrong, especially the A/C at this time of year, we won't spend time trying to sort it via the landlord. Cost about 4 - 5 k Regarding the gardens, we've previously either dug it up and taken it with us or sold on via facebook!!

It doesn't matter where you renew it, either will do. And even if you do it online you still have to go into a shop. Best things to get the forms at your closest shop and fill them out and return

One big issue that causes hair fall here is the water. You need to get a shower filter attachment - works wonders. I was always very sceptical about the Blu shower heads, that was until ours got lost in a recent move. I'm using the ordinary shower head at the moment and my hair is like straw and coming out in handfuls, despite going through copious amounts of conditioner. Desperately need to get a new one this week.

Age can be an issue here in regards to some roles as I have found out to my cost. On a couple of occasions I was offered positions, but once the actual person I would have been working for saw my CV and my age, they stated that they wanted someone younger, even though HR told me that the younger person, did not have the required qualifications. I think a lot can come down to what certain people expect to see when they hear you're over 50. I am now fully employed at 57 in a role which is more like the roles I carried out over 20 years ago and not what I trained for, but hey, it's a job and the pay's ok. Dear Geordie expat, Yes, you're right, sadly age does play a determining factor, however, even simple administration roles require younger people so that employers can pay them an even cheaper salary. At your age I would be concerned if I thought it was a discriminating factor. At mine I can understand it.

DH and I were advised by a professional CV writer back in the UK to have no more than three achievements at the start of your CV after your profile. Majority of recruiters and HR departments don't get any further than three quarters of the way down the first page. So far so good it has worked for both of us

Just had a look at "Buy it, Sell it , Swap it Dubai" on Facebook and it is a Closed Group. Does that mean one cannot use it? Nothing comes up on it to even see items for sale - seems to limit its purpose if not everyone/anyone can see things for sale? You'll probably have to ask to join

Firstly we cannot give advice unless you are more specific with whereabouts on the Palm as some areas will be quieter than others. Secondly, if I was looking for somewhere peaceful to live with some privacy, it certainly wouldn't be The Palm. If she has the budget somewhere like Al Barari is lovely and peaceful.

You need to create a profile on LinkedIn and then people can find you if they know your name. Once you register the system will walk you through what you need to do. You can also look for people and companies and there is a job search function on there too.

Sorry no I've tried two or three and also tried my usual of washing up liquid and water well diluted. I've cut them well back before and they've always done well, but never had to do it for this reason before. I did notice that one or two branches just came out of the ground though as they were rotten at the bottom!!

We had a similar issue four years ago as the registrar who married us was new to the job and her registration had not been formally finalised. I left the UK before my certificate was returned, but just paid the extra to have it shipped out here.

I know I can get the sheds at carrefour in different sizes, I wonder where else I can look for cheaper optionns. The ones which carrefour has are from Duramax. If I check on Facebook most people sell the size 2,40x1.60 m I am looking more for , 1.60 x1.60 m or even better 1.60x0.80 Any Idea where to look or have an other idea where to buy sheds. TIA We've got the one which you can set up against the wall and has a door in the end. I think it's the 4x8ft model. It will be ready for collection in a couple of weeks AED500.

I have never had a problem with Careem drivers. As someone said they don't answer their phones while driving and I have never been worried in one of their cars. One driver once apologised to me as he had to swerve to avoid another car on the road!!

How sad that they resort to dragging up 2 year old threads on women's forums to get a free ad :( We've been here over 6 years and have never had problems with RTA taxis and you can book them ahead for any time or day you want.. lol @ Captain.. When we first moved here four years ago we lived in JVT and had nothing but trouble with RTA taxis. I can't even begin to count the number of meetings I missed, including job interviews when the taxi's could not find us and often gave up trying !!! In all honesty Careem was a life saver for me then and I still use them now especially when I need to be somewhere at a particular time.

One issue with Careem if you use then as an airport pick up is they do not check on your flight details. All they go by is the time you reserve them for. The best way to get round this is to do an immediate pick up when you're actually in the airport. It may involve a short wait, but much better than being charged waiting time!!

DH has sold two cars successfully on Dubizzle, both for the asking price. He did do a lot of research on there first, took a number of good photos and enhanced the description. It was a case of looking at the competition and basing your asking price on what was out there and what he thought was a reasonable price. Both times he opted for a middle of the road price and also much improved pictures and descriptions, compared to the competition. There is no way you can go on what the cost of a new model is.

Hi there, Sports and Motor City are really lovely communities. Very family oriented but my problem in Motor City is that the walls between apartments were super super thin and our family could hear our neighbours - loud and clear. This was in the apartment areas, the villas seem to be better. Lovely areas to walk in, swimming pools and gym and very safe, nice restaurants and supermarket access. The other area I really loved living in was Al Badia residences near Dubai Festival City, also very family oriented, the apartments were spacious, well built, large bathtubs, walk in wardrobes, good size balconies, lovely neighbours, Golf Club next door, close to the airport. Thanks to this site, I am going to check out Silicone Oasis and JVT as some people seem to have positive feedback on those areas which quite honestly surprised me and I can't wait to see whats out there. Good luck on your quest! I'd go for Silicon Oasis over JVT any day

Easter has finished or am I missing something  Haha! You read my mind! I was going to suggest that the eggs might be cheaper now but the shops will probably put them away only to try and sell them next year. Park & Rob still have Christmas chocolates on the shelves, I dread to think what the best before dates are on em  They're still in date, as chocolate, depending on the type and/or filling has quite a long shelf life :) Need to think about dieting again
