Here's when the next public holiday will take place in Saudi Arabia.

Private and government workers in Saudi Arabia will get a 4-day public holiday for Eid Al Fitr, confirmed the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Combined with the Friday and Saturday weekend, this means six consecutive days off for most employees across the kingdom.

The Eid holidays will begin from Monday April 8 in Saudi Arabia and work will resume on Sunday April 14.

For residents who don't have Fridays and Saturdays as their official weekends, they will have a 4-day Eid Al Fitr public holiday.

It's the perfect time for residents in Saudi to enjoy some time off exploring the country, relaxing at home, enjoy a local staycation, or take this opportunity to travel abroad for a quick holiday.

What is Eid Al Fitr?

The holy month of Ramadan, a sacred time for Muslims around the world where they fast from dawn until sunset, ends with the Islamic festival of Eid Al Fitr.

Eid Al Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the month that follows right after Ramadan. As one of the two major holidays celebrated by Muslims, Eid is a big and special occasion for many.
