Medications in Saudi?

Hi, I want to visit my hubby, who is working in Saudi, however, I have some medical conditions which are complicating things.
My first concern is pain relief - I am on tramadol, and as far as I can find, it is a banned drug. The PR says as long as I have a script from SA, it will be ok, but I'm nervous of accepting his verbal assurance when the visa info clearly states that illegal drugs carry the death penalty.
Does anyone have any idea how to access strong pain relief in Saudi? As I believe codeine is also banned. How strict are they really?
Secondly, I often need a wheelchair and was hoping to rent one, but haven't been able to find any online information about hiring in Riyadh. Any suggestions?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know about Tramadol and Codeine, but I want to share my experience with others, maybe it will be useful for someone. Not long ago I came to this wonderful country and got a little carried a...
Thank you for the recommendation. Difort capsules are really a good remedy. Thanks to him, I managed to avoid the diagnosis of diabetes. She passed the tests, the sugar was slightly elevated. Already after 4 weeks of taking Difort capsules, a blood test showed a significantly lower sugar level. I am very satisfied with the effect of this tool, so now I recommend it to everyone I know.

In Saudi Arabia, access to strong pain relievers can be difficult due to restrictions on the sale and use of certain medications, such as codeine. Although I cannot access updated information in real time, I can provide you with some general guidelines: Consult a doctor: It is best to seek medical attention and discuss your pain relief needs with a healthcare professional in Saudi Arabia. The doctor will be able to evaluate your situation and prescribe the appropriate medication within legal limits. Comply with regulations: It is important to respect the laws and regulations of the country. Make sure you follow legal procedures to obtain the necessary medications. This may require a valid prescription and meet specific requirements set by Saudi health authorities. Explore alternatives: If codeine is banned, you may need to consider other pain reliever options that are allowed in Saudi Arabia. A doctor will be able to suggest safe and effective alternatives for pain relief. Remember that regulations can change over time, so it is important to stay informed about current policies in Saudi Arabia regarding medications and pain relief.

It's important to consult with a healthcare professional if you're experiencing symptoms like dry mouth and frequent trips to the toilet. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatments or lifestyle changes. While it's good to seek advice from friends, it's always best to rely on medical professionals for accurate information and guidance.

I don’t know about Tramadol and Codeine, but I want to share my experience with others, maybe it will be useful for someone. Not long ago I came to this wonderful country and got a little carried away by sweets))) I began to notice dry mouth and frequent trips to the toilet. I was afraid that I might develop diabetes. My new friend recommended Difort capsules, which can be bought without a prescription. I drank them for a month, the symptoms went away! They can be drunk both for prevention and when a diagnosis has already been made. If you have problems with sugar, you can buy Difort, it really helps. Maybe some of you will find my advice useful. And they are inexpensive, which is important if you have just arrived and don’t have any extra money.
