Bahrain To Celebrate 47th National Day This Week

A national day is a day to cherish for many countries around the world – but especially those in the GCC.

Given that most are under the big 5-0 year, Bahrain celebrates a step closer to half a century this week.

The 47th national day of Bahrain will take place this week and the country is already kicking off its celebrations.

Colourful arrays of fireworks will engulf Bahrain’s skies this week as the country gears up to the most important day in historical books.

Patriotism and pride will also engulf nationals and expats who reside in the GCC-based country this week.

Bahrain is pulling out all the stop in celebration for its 47th national day – from fireworks, concerts, festivals, street decorations and activities…you name it!

The country may be celebrating the 47th national day but it is also a celebration its independence from the British empire in 1971.

Celebratory wishes

Bahrain close friend and neighbour, the UAE, has already sent it’s congratulatory wishes to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Saturday.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, wrote on Twitter that the UAE joined Bahrain in celebrating the day "with great happiness and pride".

The Saudi Arabian foreign Ministry also joined in wishing Bahrain a happy 47th national day this week.
