The latest entry rules into the UAE capital will begin from Eid.
If you're planning to visit the capital during the Eid Al Adha public holidays, this guide has the necessary information on Abu Dhabi's latest entry requirements, starting from Monday July 19.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced that from Eid, entering the Emirates will be allowed within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR test result and within 24 hours of receiving a negative DPI result.
Anyone travelling to the city with a PCR Covid-19 test must then retake a PCR test on day four of entry, for visitors staying four days or more.
An additional PCR test must be taken on day eight for those staying eight days or more.
A DPI test cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi consecutive times, said the Abu Dhabi media office.
The latest entry rules will apply to all vaccinated and non-vaccinated UAE nationals and expat residents. Ignoring or failing to follow these latest precautionary rules will result in fines.
The National Sterilisation Programme will also kickstart on July 19 in Abu Dhabi, as part of efforts to protect the UAE public's health and reduce the spread of the virus.
Sterilisation will take place daily between midnight to 5 a.m.
During these hours, residents are reminded that movement in public and driving will be restricted, and there will be no transportation services. Everyone must stay at home during these hours unless it is absolutely necessary to go outside, or to get essential supplies such as food and medicine.
