New Year's Eve is synonymous with spending time with family, friends, and of course, watching firework displays.

It's one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year for all ages, with thousands of people across the UAE planning weeks in advance and securing their places hours early just to get the best viewing spot. This year, Abu Dhabi will be closing off 2020 with a 35-minute long fireworks show that is set to break two Guinness World Records!

Taking place at the Zayed Heritage Festival in the Al Wathba region of Abu Dhabi, visitors and families will also enjoy a variety of parades, performances, interactive exhibitions, pavilions, food trucks, carnival rides, children's activities, heritage shows, and much more.

Everyone is invited to join in on welcoming 2021 with a history-making bang this Thursday, 31 December from 3 pm.

Gates to the festival will open from 3pm and tickets cost just AED 5 per person Tickets can be bought on the Zayed Festival website.
